This grandfather clock I thought would be a perfect 3-D project for the "Nutcracker Sweet" line from Graphic 45, since God father Drosselmeier (I think that was his name!) appears out of nowhere sitting on the clock in the hallway. I was sure people would make a giant tree and I wanted to do something original. It wasn't until about a month after I made this that I came across Jim the Gentleman crafter's video on You Tube, where he made one as well. So much for that original idea! ;) I figured, well mine is a little different, it has drawers and shelves, as well as the Sugar Plum Fairy and flowers doing their dance for the subjects of the Nutcracker. So it's a little different.
Here is a picture to show the scale of the clock. Yes, that is my front door, it's that tall
Here is a picture of the clock face prior to installing the clock parts.
The bottom drawer, tall enough to fit glimmer mists in!
All characters are popped up at different heights so they all stand at various levels, for a more 3 dimensional look.
The Land of Sweets
My friend's daughter LOVES Paris, so for Christmas I created the Eiffel Tower for her room. There are 2 secret compartments. One is in the base, the other is in the neck of the tower. I placed a eyelet screw in the cap of the tower so she can hide her special jewelry in there from her sister! The cap also has a Tim Holtz Memo Pin so she can place her favorite picture of her and her friends there. I needed to put something there so it looked nice when she opened it, so I made her a hair clip.

I am so excited and nervous to announce that I am auditioning for the Graphic 45 design team. I have chosen a few of my projects to submit and hope they will do the trick! :) Wish me luck!
